Gripper for Flag Style Plates, ID 8mm

Product code: GRABSHOM

Mounted to a single shaft linear/rotary feedthrough or sample transporter, the GRABSHOM gripper is used to manipulate SHOM flag style sample plates. It has a matching slit to slide over the sample plate's handle. By twisting the GRABSHOM 90 degrees either way, the sample plate will click into place and is held there gently by a spring loaded piston.
Contrary to similar grabbers from our competitors, the GRABSHOM doesn't have a fixed limit stop that could result in bending and eventually snapping off the sample plate's handle if rotated in the wrong direction or by applying too much torque.
